Nine BPM of headroom —123 to 132— is all Volume 017 of Bhaskar's series needs to draw a perfectly legible energy curve. 'Fit The Tempo' by Yves V and Viktor opens at 130 in D-flat major, a compact 3:29 that works almost like an ignition jingle; R-Chy's 'The Hype' pushes up to 132 and Geeyo Ibra's 'Come Back' holds 130 while slipping into the minor mode. Three cuts, one gesture: cruising speed from the very first minute.
The only real dip arrives in fourth position: Nato Medrado's 'I Will Pray For You' drops to 123 BPM and A minor, the record's emotional breather right before the bounce-back of 'In My Head' (132). From there, the sequence settles into a groove block that is where the tracklist is at its best:
- 'You Move Me' (128) brings together Dantiez and The Saunderson Brothers —sons of Detroit techno pioneer Kevin Saunderson— with Mauro Venti and JKLN.
- 'On The Mic' (126) brings Yves V back, now with Suburbia and Chester Young, at the calmest point of the home stretch.
- 'Discoteka' (128), by Bhaskar himself with Mojjo, is the longest cut at 7:01: the record finally takes its time before the sprint.
The close returns to 132 with 'Mind Illuminate', where Victor Ruiz, Alok and SIDEPIECE sign off the final peak. It is no accident that Alok shows up right there: CONTROVERSIA is his label, launched in 2019 with Spinnin' Records, and Bhaskar —his twin brother— is a partner in the project in charge of scouting new talent. That double role shows in the architecture: the big names anchor the opening and the close, while the middle of the record makes room for emerging profiles like Faiolli or Geeyo Ibra. Played as sequenced, the volume works like a 45-minute set: a direct launch, a single valley, a groove plateau and a final climb.
