Overview

The lion roars of 'Harlem Shake' open the ride, and that is no accident. Baauer's 2012 debut under the Mad Decent umbrella blew up months later as a global meme, holding the Billboard Hot 100's number one spot for five straight weeks; starting there, at 93 BPM in F major, plants the flag where everything else began.

The first half walks the canon with confidence: 'Where Are Ü Now' brings together Diplo, Skrillex and Justin Bieber; 'Purple Lamborghini' puts Rick Ross over Skrillex production; RL Grime pushes 'Core' up to 150 BPM. Then at slot thirteen comes the historic summit of the journey: TNGHT's 'Higher Ground', the Hudson Mohawke and Lunice meeting that Warp and LuckyMe released in July 2012, still the fastest cut of the lot at 160 BPM.

Between milestones come the detours that give the crate digger away: Young M.C.'s 'Bust A Move' reworked by Diplo, a Raekwon instrumental barely 2:17 long and, above all, Duke Dumont's 'When I Hear Mu'Sic' on Turbo — at 5:38 the longest cut and the least likely guest on the trip.

From track 22 the cast changes generation: HIGHSOCIETY, G-Rex, episcool, Moore Kismet. The fresh milestone is underscores' remix of 'It's You' by Ninajirachi and daine, released by NLV Records in February 2026 and described by the label itself as maximalist dubstep — proof this selection does not run on nostalgia alone. Shortly after, Dillon Francis and Daya's 'What It Feels Like' sinks to 70 BPM, the deepest valley of the set before the final sprint of Deadcrow, 4URA and company.

The close is pure symmetry: Yellow Claw, who appeared in the first half via Mad Decent with 'DJ Turn It Up', see the journey off from their own Barong Family home with 'Take It All' at 113 BPM. Between the opening roars and that last hit lie fourteen years of trap told in sequence: peaks, oddities and a generational handover you hear rather than get told about.
