This is no catalogue inventory but a session with an arc, and the occasion earns it: On Loop, the London label run by Moxie — DJ and curator with one of NTS Radio's longest-standing residencies — turns ten, celebrating with ten cuts for a decade and a second volume already slated for autumn.
The first stretch tightens without rushing. Midas Field lifts things to 130 on 'Get Loose', the longest cut here (6:24), Isaac Carter keeps the tension going on 'Natural High' and Running Hot holds 130 on 'Take You There'. Up to that point everything sits in minor keys: four tracks of concentrated groove. Which is why T. Jacques' 'Against The Wall' lands as the first emotional milestone: it drops to 126 and opens the record's first major key, an F major that arrives like a window flung open mid-club.
The second half is where the ride gains contour. Laidlaw pushes to 131 with 'House of Dub', Retromigration eases the pulse on 'BLT', and then comes the peak: K-Lone — co-founder of Wisdom Teeth alongside Facta — nails the set's fastest 132 BPM on 'iluvu' right when the listening demands it. Tiptoes' 'Gimme Some Mo' works as a hinge, and the close is an elegant descent: CC:DISCO! and Manuel Darquart sign off with 'Don't You Want My Love', letting the record settle at 120 BPM and return to that midpoint F major, like turning the lights on without breaking the spell.
Heard front to back, the volume traces a classic booth curve — climb, plateau, peak, landing — while sketching the label Moxie has built as a platform for emerging talent: house with a dub accent, garage and disco at the edges, and a very clear idea of how a night should be ordered.
