Two of the twenty cuts here carry Alexander Popov's signature, and that is no accident: Interplay is his label, founded in 2017 under the Armada Music umbrella and running as an independent company since 2020. He shows up on two main-floor trance fronts: 'KAIF' with Whiteout and Gorilla Zippo at 129 BPM, and 'You Get What You Give' with Van Snyder and Serena Bleu, which also arrives in the hands of the compilation's only remixer.
B Jones, the name that shifts the scale
That remixer is B Jones — Spain's Beatriz Martínez, the first artist from her country to play Tomorrowland's main stage four years running, No. 94 on DJ Mag's Top 100 in 2024, with Ushuaïa and Hï Ibiza residencies behind her. Her 'You Get What You Give (B Jones Extended Remix)' is pure mainstage: 140 BPM, E-flat minor and just 3:15, the shortest cut of the twenty. Nobody here is in the business of long intros.
The other heavyweight closes the record: Eximinds, the Russian project of Alexander Zhukov, who has remixed Armin van Buuren and Paul Oakenfold and whose take on 'Angel' was crowned trance tune of the month by Mixmag. With Alexander Komarov he signs 'Wild', 125 BPM in B minor that pulls the shutters down in melodic fashion instead of forcing more euphoria. Van Snyder doubles up too: besides the remix with Popov, he pushes 'XTC' with Enyo and JARR Head up to 142 BPM, the tempo ceiling of the batch.
Around those names, a talent pool: UNMD opens with 'Eyes' in melodic mode at 120, and AFTERUS takes 7:03 — by far the longest cut — to unfold 'Life Before Your Eyes', the most patient trance of the selection. That is Interplay's game: two or three recognizable signatures holding up the brand, and a dozen bets competing to become the next proper name.
