The headline act is 'Love Someone Else': Dubfire and Sharam — the Grammy-winning duo — return to the collaboration Nicole Moudaber recorded in 2016 with Skin, the voice of Skunk Anansie, trimming it to roughly half its runtime and rebuilding it around the vocal, over a rolling low end and dry percussion. At 126 BPM in B-flat minor it sits in the lower band of the pack, yet it carries the heaviest emotional weight of the 39 tracks.

The other name with long memory is Mijk van Dijk: 'MORE' first appeared in 1997 on his 'Glow' album for Superstition, the moment the Berliner stepped out from aliases like Microglobe and Marmion to finally record under his own name; nearly three decades later he reworks it himself into a 7:17 extended built for today's clubs. Alan Fitzpatrick, meanwhile, brings craft in good company: 'Lose Control', with Rawfox, is the fourth chapter of his HYBRD series alongside Reset Robot — a long-time collaborator and co-founder of Whistleblower with him — released on We Are The Brave.

Around that trio of confirmed heavyweights, the rest of the bill falls into place:

• Township Rebellion and Fab Massimo sign 'Labyrinth' for Drumcode: a 132 BPM groove in A major.
• John Summit hands 'LIGHTS GO OUT' over to Silvertone (US) for an extended remix on Experts Only.
• Victor Ruiz and HNGT add 'A New Day' on 1001 Recordings, a generous six minutes at 132 BPM.

The rest is a talent pool in the best sense: Acid Mutant, EVNTHZN or Polarspell, spread across small labels and tempos running from the 92 BPM of 'Echoes' to the 155 of Hypnosis Therapy's remix of Alex Wilcox's 'i hate all of you' on Bpitch Control. That coexistence of reactivated legend and name still to be discovered is exactly what the title promises: digging through crates until you find the record nobody else is playing.
