The Berlin-Turkish imprint Jeton Records continues its mission of unearthing emerging talent with the thirteenth instalment of its New Breed series — a compilation that serves as a showcase for rising producers operating within the Raw, Deep and Hypnotic Techno spectrum. Seven artists, seven distinct visions of the same dark pulse, with BPMs ranging from 138 to 145, weaving a coherent narrative without ever falling into redundancy.
Track by track: what defines this volume
- Code 682 – Gioele: A solid opener at 139 BPM in Bb Minor. Industrial textures and hypnotic layers that unfold with patience and technical rigour.
- Saint Is Gone – turan.: One of the faster cuts at 144 BPM in Db Minor. Dark atmosphere and melodic tension that sets this emerging producer apart from the pack.
- What Was – Timo Manson: Notably built in C Major, lending an unusual brightness to the release's overall darkness. At 140 BPM, it is the most concise and direct track on the compilation.
- Mucilaginous – Lil: The title says it all: viscous, dense, organic. At 138 BPM in C Minor, arguably the most hypnotic cut on the volume, with modulations that lock the listener from the very first loop.
- Flow – Welotrax: At 145 BPM in D Minor, the shortest in duration (4:39) but far from the lightest in impact. Pure energy channelled with surgical precision.
- Thrust – Divine Mechanic: Name and sound align perfectly. F Minor at 145 BPM, relentless drive and rhythmic architecture that makes it a genuine dancefloor weapon.
- Fury – Rudy Ripani: The longest closer at 6:36 in B Minor, 138 BPM. It builds its internal storm slowly and deliberately — the most narrative track of the release.
