Kadmos opens with 'Samothrace' in C major at 123 BPM and sets the terms: steady-pulse progressive house — the whole compilation sits between 121 and 124 — where variety lives in textures and keys rather than tempo. The first stretch links 'Defected' by Max Wexem and SHERRNX with 'Rave Puppet' by Yonsh and Influence (IN), up to the first real milestone: 'Generous God' by Ovlak and Sam Sick, eight long minutes stretching the E major that will become the record's recurring key.
The midpoint offers two gestures that answer each other. 'Sorting the Darkness' by Molac is the fastest cut of the set (124 BPM); three slots later, 'Shapeshifter' by foglight is the shortest (5:39) and one of the few in a minor key: acceleration and retreat almost back to back. Between them appears Bondarev, the only name repeated across the tracklist — he signs 'Paragon' with Ilias Katelanos and Plecta and returns on 'Strike' alongside Montw and Anton Borin (RU) — which makes sense for a house artist: he sits on the roster of the Russian label, active since 2021 according to its Resident Advisor profile, next to names like Dmitry Molosh and Roger Martinez.
The final stretch is the most ambitious. 'Formless' by Aman Anand is the longest journey (8:36), a late climax before a two-act farewell: 'Warppiness' by Anton Make, a self-referential nod in C minor and the record's most introspective moment right when it is time to take stock; and 'Wanderer' by Abity and Gabo Martin, closing by returning to the E major of the early milestones. No anniversary remixes, no plot twists: the celebration is about holding a single idea across more than two hours and twenty different names — exactly what a young label needs to prove at five.
