Forty-five tracks and one stubborn rule: apart from Agustin Bertolotti's intro mix of Yangvar's 'Space Motion' (117 BPM) and Dion Paola's 'Rebirth' (120), everything here lives between 121 and 124 BPM. That narrow band is the first identity marker of this second anniversary volume: progressive house that keeps a house pulse, refusing the tempo inflation other catalogues have normalised. The second marker is stranger: 39 of the 45 tracks sit in major keys. Where the genre usually reaches for shadow, this house chooses light.
Ghent to the Río de la Plata
The title's arithmetic checks out: AH Digital was founded in 2015 by Belgian producer Hypnotised, a Ghent native, together with PatriZe, his partner on the After Hours radio show — aired on TM Radio, Cosmos Radio and Scientific Sound Asia — and on AH Digital Essentials on Proton. Belgian on paper; the tracklist draws another map: Dex, Tanuus and MOSH carry the (AR) suffix, surnames like Amuchastegui, Gauna, Bertolotti and Esquivel point the same way, and the arc stretches through VegaZ SL, WAYA (SL), LEM (IT) and Dion Paola (AUS). A label from Ghent whose real geography spans half the planet.
The third trait is internal circulation: eighteen remixes in which the roster reworks itself. Maysot reshapes Tanuus's 'Angel F' and also signs 'Entropis' as a producer; Mateo Tapia shows up three times: the originals 'Reflections' and 'Sound Creates Form' plus his take on Noe Bortolussi's 'Timelines'. Few things portray a label better than its artists handling each other's material — this is not a catalogue, it is a workshop.
Leonardo Britto's 'Atlantis', the longest cut at 9:30 in D major, sums the house style up: structural patience, climax without shouting. Between Tobi Amuchastegui's opening 'Voices' and D-MICE's closing 'Airy', the volume reads less like a commemorative compilation than a census of eleven years of building: a global community that sounds like a club before sunrise, with the lights — unusually — switched on.
