VA – Elevate 12: Progressive House at Its Finest
AH Digital Compilations returns with the twelfth instalment of its Elevate series, reinforcing a catalogue that remains firmly committed to long-form progressive house. Ten tracks, ten different producers, and one unmistakable thread: slow-burning builds, dense textures, and the kind of emotional journey that defines the genre at its best.
The compilation opens with Sculptor's Egregore, seven and a half minutes in E minor that set the project's contemplative tone. The harmonic progression is deliberate, almost ceremonial, with synthesizer layers that accumulate without rushing. Monaca Brothers follow with Find Your Mind, lifting the tempo to 123 BPM and working in G major with a melodic warmth that serves as a pivotal turning point within the flow.
Mateo Dillon delivers Still Rising, one of the most dynamic moments on the release, while Lowki (SL)'s Glitch Mob introduces fragmented, textured elements that fully justify its title. Jourdan Bordes contributes the most concise cut on the set with Global Destinations, a D minor track that loses none of its intensity across six minutes.
The second half holds its ground: JAIDY with Forgotten Spirit, the collaboration between JUNIOR (SL) & Esh (SL) on Night Sky, the boldly titled Stole That Shit by Dan W, and the compilation's peak moment courtesy of Christian Patti's Magnetic Fields — the longest track at 8:04 — which unfolds a hypnotic journey in G minor. Casper Muzan closes with Frequency Shift, leaving the door wide open for the next chapter.
