'Tang Ping', the opener from Damia and Luka Lucescu, starts at the top: 130 BPM in B major, a long five minutes that set the record's ceiling right away. From there, the seventh instalment of the Gravity series doesn't accelerate — it lets itself fall. PEACEBLVCK's 'Magia', at 6:02 the longest cut here, eases down to 127 and stretches out its melodic layers, while SPACE's 'I Got to Party', the shortest of the lot at 4:26, bottoms out the first stretch at 125, its party title sounding more like a promise than euphoria.
The fourth movement changes skin: Lowcree's 'Bounce and Move' is the only track tagged as indie dance, and its D major at 126 BPM works as a bright detour before the real surprise.
The 'Lose Control' Drop-Off
Because in fifth position RSKN breaks the contract: 'Lose Control' plunges to 96 BPM, thirty beats below everything else. On a compilation built for the dancefloor, that gap is a statement — this one is for listening too, not just mixing. And it fits how the label describes itself: Pure Enjoyment Black, the dark side of Italy's Pure Enjoyment, presents itself on Bandcamp as a home for emotional, hypnotic sounds made for clubs, after-hours and inner journeys. 'Lose Control' is exactly that third scenario.
The closer restores the pulse: DJ Lara (IL)'s 'Regina Della Notte' returns to the opening's 130, but in A minor, the only minor key on the whole volume. The record ends where it began in tempo and somewhere else in mood: darker, tenser, with an Italian title that hands the ball back to the label. A journey that descends, sinks and climbs back up — except it's no longer daytime.
