Closing a 26-track selection with its shortest cut is quite a statement: Baauer's 'Supersonic' runs 2:13, drops to 122 BPM in G-flat minor and is still the heaviest name on the list. Made with Hudson Mohawke and PARISI as a preview of 'U', his third album on LUCKYME., it pays homage to the UK dance records Baauer grew up on —Fatboy Slim, Basement Jaxx, The Chemical Brothers—: a simple piano line and The Jimmy Castor Bunch's vocals detonating into big-beat drums and filter-swept synths. As a festival closer it works the same way it does on the album: a short rush, then out.
At the other generational end, 'All Night' shows Krafty Kuts in full stride: the first taste of 'Turbulence', the album Martin Reeves is readying on his own Against The Grain label, it's a full-vocal cut at 136 BPM that was already road-tested in his King of the Beats shows alongside Freestylers and Plump DJs. Its E-flat major glows against a chart dominated by minor keys, and its 4:19 leaves room to work it properly in the booth.
Guau, three times over
The name that repeats most is Guau: he signs 'Keep It Ruff', shares 'Electricity' with Nosk and remixes JottaFrank's 'Conga', which hits the selection's tempo ceiling at 140 BPM. The Palma-based producer founded 83 in 2016 and co-founded Elektroshok Records before that, and between the two labels they account for eight of the chart's twenty-six cuts: Spanish breakbeat isn't a guest here, it's load-bearing structure.
Three names, three coordinates: a club producer looking back at big beat, a British veteran with an album on the way, and a Spanish axis already holding up half the genre. Between the 83 BPM of 'Loose Control' and the 140 ceiling, the rest of the selection fills in that triangle — but these are the cuts that explain where festival breakbeat stands in 2026.
