One key keeps turning up where it has no business being. G-flat minor shades the electronica of Overmono's 'Lockup' on XL Recordings, the raw techno of Obscure Shape's 'Desire' and 'Things We Never Shared', Pfirter's 'Latent Signal' and all three versions of 'Silent Alarm' by Notamous and Will Daley. Corners of the map that rarely meet share the same penumbra, and that common undersoil is the best way into this N-P volume.

The warm axis of the map is F. In major it holds Nemeni's 'Scarab', NO.MADS' 'Rise', Pol Shirak's 'Solstice Drive' and NouchKat's double; in minor, 'Groovy Sunset' and 'Besame Mama'. The telling detail sits in Pierce's Sublunar block: his hypnotic cuts circle 140-142 through C, D-flat, E-flat and B-flat minor, yet when the tempo drops to 70 on 'Deliria' and 'Morphosis', the key opens into F major.
