VA – Back2Back, Vol. 6 (Multinotes): Indie Dance With Character and Depth
Multinotes returns with the sixth installment of its Back2Back compilation series, doubling down on its commitment to an Indie Dance sound rooted in organic textures, melodic sensibility, and genuine dancefloor purpose. Across four meticulously crafted tracks, the label proves its eye for emerging talent capable of sustaining a coherent sonic narrative throughout an entire release.
The compilation opens with Matara and «Break It», the most high-energy cut of the bunch: 130 BPM in Bb minor, a relentless bassline that refuses to yield, and a synthesizer architecture that drives forward with real conviction. It sets the tone immediately and signals the project's ambitions.
Henri (BR) follows with «Real Love», arguably the EP's most emotionally resonant piece. At 125 BPM in C minor, it blends immersive atmospheres with a harmonic progression that recalls the finest house-influenced Indie Dance. Nearly six minutes that feel too short.
Bessarionn contributes «Dimension», a five-minute cut in G minor that balances rhythmic tension and spatial depth. Its patient, evolving structure speaks to a producer who truly understands the craft of a DJ set. Closing the EP is Ackerman with «Keep Movin'»», the longest track at 6:36 and the one with the widest dancefloor reach: 125 BPM in F# major, with a steadily building energy that sustains movement and works beautifully in a sunrise slot.
- Standout track: «Break It» – Matara
- Sunrise set pick: «Keep Movin'» – Ackerman
- Editorial favorite: «Real Love» – Henri (BR)
A solid volume that firmly establishes Multinotes as a key reference point for contemporary Indie Dance.
