Three cuts locked in Gb minor between 87 and 88 BPM —'Mind Breaker' by Lernis, Al Storm's 'Dusk Til Dawn (Jump Up Mix)' and Standpoint's 'Path of the Druid'— draw the most comfortable corridor in this volume: harmonic chaining with the pitch untouched, and Storm's jump up as the natural lift of the stretch. It makes sense that a veteran signs that lift: Al Storm comes from the early-nineties rave scene, with remixes and credits alongside The Prodigy and Dizzee Rascal plus a 2009 signing to Raver Baby, and he is the most seasoned name in a series Nothing But has kept on a near-monthly schedule since January 2025.
For openers there are two major-key doors: 'Kill Me' by Maza and Erratic Engine, the longest cut of the batch (6:27, Ab major), with plenty of room to build a mood, and Manuxia's 'Pinesthi' (5:50, G major), the most patient option inside the 86 block. At the other end, Phobius' 'Shiva' marks the lowest tempo on the record (75 BPM, Eb major): a breather to reset the floor without emptying it before the final push.
Eb as the master key
No key opens more doors here than Eb, with six cuts split across both modes:
- 'Candy Ghost' by Sexy Madafaka and 'Phase Offset' (Eb minor, 85-87 BPM), a natural pairing for the darkest stretch of the set.
- Shyft's 'Rapture' and MathMan's 'Triple R' remix (Eb major), sub-three-minute ammunition for doubles and quick cuts.
- Falco's 'Your Voice' (Eb minor, 87 BPM), the midpoint for changing colour without leaving the key.
Watch the grid: half a dozen cuts arrive tagged outside the 87 block —from 'Rapture' at 105 to 'Step Aside' at 154, via 'Kasbah' at 140 and 'Bells' at 133— so re-analyse before trusting sync. For peak time, several tracks are signposted by their own surnames: Nappy Soldier's 'Neurofunk Mix' and Storm's 'Jump Up Mix' do exactly what they promise.
