The speed ceiling of this volume arrives on track two: P4sc4l's 'Breath Of Life' runs at 141 BPM and none of the twenty-three cuts that follow ever reach it again. It's an unorthodox sequencing call —the tempo peak burns off before the record warms up— and it defines the character of this seventh Trance Infinity instalment: a high plateau with cracks running through it.
The plateau means business. Between tracks seven and fifteen sit nine consecutive cuts in the 138-140 band, with 140 as the record's dominant tempo: it shows up on twelve of the twenty-five titles. That's where the uncompromising main floor lives —Dj X-Tromic's 'Rocket Flight', 'Stairways to Heaven' by N-sKing and Hoenir V, 'Singularity' by Gerlach Gerrit and NrgMind— until the deepest crack splits open: 'Metamorphoses' by Tony Grand and Hodaya Cohen drops to 86 BPM, nearly half the surrounding tempo, a breather that cuts the record in two.
Redrawing the map
From there the compilation swings between 124 and 140 without settling, and that wobble is exactly what makes it a tool: nobody would play this in order. In the booth, the blocks assemble themselves:
- Opening (124-129): 'One World', 'Another Life', 'Sunrise', 'Intention' and 'Waves', five restrained cuts for building a room.
- Ramp (134-138): 'Maldives', 'Escalation' and the eight minutes of 'Deep Blue', the longest cut of the lot.
- Peak (140-141): the entire central plateau with 'Breath Of Life' as the ceiling.
Among the slower passages sits the most established name on the record: LTN, the Indonesian producer named "Breakthrough DJ/Producer" by Dash Berlin in 2012, with several entries in Beatport's trance Top 100; his 'Maldives' has been circulating since 2017 and slots in here as a 134 BPM bridge. The closer, 'Transcend Realities', returns to 140 in just 3:21: the record ends where its centre of gravity was all along.
