The journey opens with a decoy: Kobosil's '300G' reads 77 BPM on paper, half of what the rest of the record actually beats at. It's 3:47 of threshold from the former Berghain resident who in 2021 turned Neukölln's old postal code into a brand of his own with 44 LABEL GROUP, and it works as a breath before the jump. Because the jump comes without warning: 'Hekataia' locks in 160 BPM right away, with Sara Landry — the Amsterdam-based American dubbed hard techno's high priestess — joining Godtripper on HEKATE, the label she founded in 2021 and named after the Greek goddess of witchcraft.
From there the selection settles between 152 and 158, with spikes at 160, telling its own story along the way. HELLBOUND!'s 'Welcome to Hell' states the intent; Luciid answers with a schranz-flavored 'Nothing To Lose', the first of two explicit bows to the hard German school — the other being Joanna Coelho's 'Schranz Party', back at 160 past the halfway mark. In between, the record breathes through acid: 'Acid Boom' by Lukas and Golpe drops to 152, the calmest point of the whole trip, right before 'Drifting Apart' and 'Deep Into My Vein' tighten the screws again.
The final third is where the compilation gains weight. Rudosa's 'Buried Alive', at 5:47 the longest cut of the lot, takes its time to build in A minor what others resolve in four minutes. And the ending is deliberate: PALØ's 'Sacred' pushes the counter back to 160 but in A major, a luminous close for a trip that went through hell ('Welcome to Hell'), burial ('Buried Alive') and witchcraft ('Hekataia') without ever dropping the pulse. Twenty cuts across sixteen different labels: less a catalog than a snapshot of where festival hard techno stands right now.
