Joanna Coelho leads a high-octane schranz manifesto
Brazilian producer Joanna Coelho does not merely compile a chart — she builds a sonic statement in favour of the rawest, most uncompromising schranz. With three of her own cuts opening and closing the selection — Schranz Party, Bassline Hits and Back 2 Schranz, all sitting at 160 BPM and released across RAVE TO THE GRAVE and DSR Digital — Coelho sets the aesthetic coordinates from the very first bar: drilling kicks, industrial distortion and an energy that evokes the darkest bunkers of Frankfurt.
The central block is a journey through the finest of today's European hard techno. In Furcht brings a forward-looking perspective with Future Schranz (Techno Germany Records), and the duo Mit & Osmos (BE) deliver An Infinite Thread for label AGONY — one of the most hypnotic moments in the set. Boris S. closes the German chapter with the blunt and direct Kaputt, before Mattia Trani and T78 raise the stakes from Galactica Music with The Call.
