Oriental Trip, Vol. 8 brings together an Organic House programme that does not follow a linear rise in tempo. Cafe De Anatolia REC. groups tracks between 80 and 123 BPM, with the main stretch concentrated from 116 to 123. “Antarmukha”, by Amor Fati and Cafe De Anatolia, opens at 120 BPM in C major and runs 5:30. A X L joins Cafe De Anatolia on “One Minute”, which reaches 123 BPM and G major; at 6:18, it is the longest piece in the programme. The early order then alternates “Karwan”, by Djmilmil and Sanyar Mostafaei, at 120 BPM in B major, with Tamer ElDerini’s “ElHawa”, at 117 BPM in G major.
Cafe De Anatolia’s presence in every credit works as the set’s editorial axis, even as the associated artists change from track to track. DJ Brahms shares “Tawina” at 120 BPM in B-flat minor and returns with Pierre Ravan on “Kan”, set at 120 BPM in E major. Billy Esteban and Azymo appear on “Al Hawa”, also at 120 BPM in C major, a match that links it to “Antarmukha”. These tempo and key returns provide clear points for arranging the material without assigning qualities beyond the tracklist.
The two tracks that leave the central range define the route’s limits. Bad Monkey appears with Cafe De Anatolia on “Sahara Code”, at 80 BPM, in D major and only 1:34 long: it is the briefest fragment and the low end of the tempo range. At the end, Majnoon joins Cafe De Anatolia on “Chaque Souffle”, at 100 BPM in B-flat major. Between them, DIVENITTO and Saùdad sign “Yukatam” at 116 BPM in F major, the lowest figure before those two detours.
The durations also avoid a fixed format, moving from the 1:34 of “Sahara Code” to the 6:18 of “One Minute”, with “Al Hawa” at 6:12. The key map places C major at the opening and on “Al Hawa”, G major on “One Minute” and “ElHawa”, and different major keys on “Karwan”, “Yukatam” and “Kan”. The volume builds its identity less through an intensity curve than through the link between a recurring label credit, changing collaborators and a tempo range that allows pauses within the journey.
