The Cuckoo's Nest makes its entrance with The Nest EP001, a debut compilation that gathers five producers to define the sonic identity of the imprint. The result is a focused journey through functional, floor-ready house music: tightly crafted grooves, BPMs ranging from 128 to 131, and a harmonic palette stretching from the warmth of F Major to the tension of C Minor.
Mursy opens proceedings with Headspin, the EP's most spacious cut at 128 BPM, allowing the groove room to breathe and elements to unfold with intention. Eridu follows with Calefaction, a track whose title says it all: dense percussive layers and a warm bassline anchored in Ab Major. Mil Jes steps up the energy with Get Down, a no-frills, straightforward piece rooted in Bb Major at 131 BPM. GISSA delivers the EP's sole minor-key moment with Strike A Pose, introducing a darker, more hypnotic texture in C Minor.
