MIDH Selects #7, pt.2: Madorasindahouse Defines the Sound of the Moment
The seventh instalment of the MIDH Selects series returns with its second part, reaffirming Madorasindahouse Records as one of the most consistent reference points in the Melodic House & Techno space. Five tracks, five distinct perspectives on a shared sonic philosophy: emotional depth, sustained groove, and a production aesthetic that balances analogue warmth with contemporary precision.
The VA opens with "Marianne" by Alessio Cristiano, a hypnotic journey in D minor at 120 BPM that sets the compilation's introspective tone from the very first bar. The melodic progression is restrained yet immersive — hallmarks of the finest European atmospheric techno. Valeron steps up with "Get Up" (122 BPM, B minor), a track that injects greater kinetic energy without abandoning emotional density: synthesis layers unfold intelligently while the groove lands with understated elegance.
The centrepiece of the compilation arrives with "The Chase", a five-artist collaboration featuring Amper, The Wild Child, Prïa, NAB (TN), and Zac Martel. At 124 BPM in Bb major, it deploys a surprisingly cohesive architecture. Rather than fragmenting the result, the multiplicity of creative voices enriches it with textures rarely achieved by a single producer. Diass and Nima Bonan deliver "To Da Beat", the EP's longest cut (6:52) and arguably its most club-ready moment: 122 BPM in E major with percussive drive that compels movement without sacrificing nuance.
The closing statement belongs to WAHM (FR) with "Gravity" — 125 BPM in Bb minor, the darkest and densest piece on the release. A coherent conclusion that anchors the compilation firmly in techno territory while maintaining the melodic thread that defines the label's identity.
