Once Upon a Time in Miami Episode 001 is Vincenzo Luna's extended statement of intent: ten tracks that trace a narrative arc from contemplative deep house to straight-up tech-house floor tools. The title is no accident — Miami is both geography and mood here, a city suspended between nostalgia and excess, and Luna captures that duality with genuine craft.
Structure and sound
The EP opens with I Need You (120 BPM), where an emotionally charged vocal line floats above a pulsing bass groove that immediately signals the project's character. La Luna nudges up to 121 BPM, adding richly textured Latin percussion — an unmistakable nod to the artist's name and to the roots of the Miami Sound. The most cinematic moment arrives with Ocean Between Us (92 BPM): at that slowed-down tempo, Luna constructs a four-minute-plus ambient-house piece that functions as an emotional interlude and the gravitational centre of the release.
From Too High Now (125 BPM) onward the EP shifts into club mode without looking back.
