“Oblique” runs at 67bpm in Ab minor. “Ordinary,” the album's closer, runs at 128 in the same key. That's no coincidence for anyone building a set: 67 doubled is 134, close enough to “Ordinary”'s pulse that the two tracks — three slots apart in the running order — share both their key signature and a double-time compatibility that lets you drop into “Oblique” at half speed or resolve it upward without touching the pitch fader.
The rest of this eight-track EP — roughly 42 minutes end to end, about the length of a warm-up set — falls into two more blocks built on the same shared-key logic. “On Hought” (128, G minor) and “Want To Be” (109, G minor) let you shed twenty bpm without losing tonal centre, a useful bridge for wherever the set needs to breathe. “Moving Years” (105, Gb minor) and “Apricity” (87, Db minor) sit a fifth apart and form the slowest pairing on the record — the low-tension stretch that holds the floor without pushing it. “Grasped” (92, A minor) sits more on its own harmonically, but its relative-key relationship to “Virtuo” (131, D minor) makes it the logical bridge between the fast opener and the descent that follows.
That leaves “Virtuo” — the longest track here at 6:22, and one of only two that touch 130bpm — as the natural opener: long enough for a slow blend, fast enough to set the tone. “Ordinary” closes where “Oblique” started, same key, eight slots later: a record built less as a stack of singles than as a full harmonic arc a DJ can step into wherever suits the set.
